Full transcript of Ahmadinejad Speech at Columbia University
Imagine Bush going to Iran, there is nothing he could say, because it is all made up.
So lets ask the nice man at the Columbia University to answer some of our questions ...
Iranian University Chancellors Ask Bollinger 10 Questions
But we must remember HE is the enemy, just listen how he speaks with such hatred at the UN assembly. Not like the French and German Leaders who say that War is the right thing to do, when you consider making the planet safe.

Peace is going to take all the nations working in cooperation to limit naked aggression and human rights' violations, not just the ones which the US declare as evil. How many nukes do we have? How many does Pakistan have? How many does India, Israel, North Korea, and the former Soviet Union have? Should the rhetoric be about destroying all weapons of mass destruction and not just prohibiting Iran from obtaining one?
Many countries are committing human rights' violations and sending arms and troops into many parts of the world. America's biggest export is violence and we would do well to call for an end to all occupations and violence by beginning to end our own.

I have looked at the transcript of the visit by Ahmadinejad to Columbia University.
It is normal practice to introduce a speaker by his credentials, which the Dean did not do.
Instead the Dean reviled the visitor, effectively poisoning the proceedings against him. This is totally unacceptable academic behaviour.
In his reply President Ahmadinejad spent at least half his speech talking about God the Bible and the Koran, therby trying to impress upon the the audience that he is/was a Godly and peaceful man. This of course is a lie, as he is not peaceful, and he aids equips and provides manpower and shelter for insurgents into other neighbouring countries.
In this respect he is no different from Bush.
He clearly wants to deny the extent of the Holocaust so that he can try to undermine the foundation for the creation of the states of Palestine and Israel in 1948. Which was done with the approval of the majority of countries of the World by UN resolution. Although he and his regime might not like it, it cannot be undone, nor will Israel go away.
The fact that he and his government is committed to the destruction of Israel, is why sanctions have been imposed on his country and why it is feared that they will obtain nuclear weapons.
According to the Daily Telegraph Diplomatic correspondent, Tuesday Sept 18 paper, Iran intends to install 3000 centrifuges to enrich uranium at the nuclear plant in Natanz. With these centrifuges it would need about one year to produce enough weapons grade uranium for one bomb.
Otherwise of course it could produce tactical nukes to fit to its Shahab-3 missiles. It is believed that these rockets are undergoing upgrades to extend the existing range of 1250 miles and to carry nuclear warheads.
The UN presently has three resolutions against uranium enrichment by Iran which are being ignored.
My view is that it is good for all countries to use nuclear fuel for power generation, as opposed to using oil and gas, with their attendant CO2 generation.
What I am not happy about is fundamentalist regimes with stated intentions of the destruction of nearby countries obtaining nuclear weapons. Otherwise the much predicted mother-of-all-battles could still occur in our lifetimes.
I really don't know how to put the Middle East to rights. Nevertheless, it needs the US and UK to withdraw from Irag and Afganistan. Iran, Syria,Jordan, and Lebanon to acknowledge the legitimate right of Israel to exist and to stop aiding Hamas and Fatah. Israel to remove the wall and possibly to assist in rebuilding the infrastructure of its Palestinian neighbour.

Regarding the Holocaust, I dont want to get arrested, but have seen some sites that pose a lot of good questions regarding the holocaust and to the extent of people being killed that dont tally with what the eye witness account that are constantly quoted. Dont really want to discuss that right now, maybe a different post.
Regarding Israel being created in 1948. for the past 60 years, millions of people have complained against this. We dont listen! Some people have tried to bring attention to their cause by causing panic, getting into the papers etc, still nothing. What do they have to do, to say that something is not right in the world ? Fly planes into skyscrapers? If you are happy to say these millions of normally peaceful people are wrong and the war mongering Europeans and Americans are right, then that is up to you. Even though you may say the place is not going to go away. Sometimes things change naturally, other times things change un-naturally (i.e. invasion).
You say that is why sanctions have been imposed, and that is not true. Sanctions are imposed because some powers say that one country, a member of the NPT, cannot enrich uranium, which it is legally entitled to do. So it is an illegal resolution. The US using influence to get there own agenda across. Becuase they will sanction and if they decide, attack, whether agreed with the UN or not.
According to the Telegraph, BBC, SKy News, Fox News, CNN, the US Government, the UK Government and Now FRANCE.. Iran is going to Build a Nuke Bomb.
British Newspapers and News Media Outlets, THE UK AND US Government said the same about IRAQ. So they are not the best source for accurate information.
Whereas, the president of Iran, The supreme Leader of Iran, The Nuclear Weapons Inspecter General, all say there is no evidence. When you ask the CIA, they also say no evidence.
The fundamentalist democratic regime of Iran is not as dangerous as the War mongering, poleristic, savage, fundamentalist state of America.
That is the country that worries me.
They will continue to push and push until the world is on fire, and they use bullying to get other countries to join, like the UK.
I am Glad that there are countries like Russia and China in the world that dont try to get normal people to demonise an innocent country that has done nothing wrong in over a 1000 years and follow an evil war mongering country that has invaded countless countries based on lies.
I do agree with your last paragraph. For peace to happen, the US and UK have to get out of other peoples countries. But insisting that other countries recognise Israel, which they have been complaining about for 60 years, is a bit much, because we threaton them if they dont, is wrong. We are not the worlds masters, only the worlds bullies. if Israel decide to attack another country, like last year, that we should not supply it with illegal arms and let it reap its own retribution for its own crimes against humanity.
My memory tells me that I hear or read of a succession of raids, car bombs, suicide bombers, and rocket attacks from Lebanon into Israel prior to each attack by Israel into the areas where the rockets are fired from and where the 'terrorists' are residing.
If Wales were to start to attack the city and towns of Bristol, Gloucester, and Hereford; how long would it be before England responded. Would it then be right for supporters of Wales to get resolutions through the UN about our retaliation on Wales? I think not.
It is strange that you believe the President of Iran and the IAEA Inspector and don't believe the governments of UK, USA, & France and all the principal TV and newspapers in these countries who say they are working towards enrichment. Maybe it is because Tehran has admitted it wishes to enrich uranium. Maybe the West is just paranoid about this becuase of the small step needed to go from enriched to weapons grade material.
This is no doubt why there are the 3 resolutions of the UN against Irans enrichment programme. It is on-going.
Although the UK, France and the USA all have nuclear weapons, I think it very unlikely they will ever use them, even on Iran.
If Iran had nuclear weapons, it might either use them, or use the threat of using them to force other Middle East countries to acceed to their demands.
You claim that signatories to the Non Proliferation Treaty are allowed to enrich uranium. Have you researched this?
Do you think that nuclear power generation requires enriched uranium? Maybe its only use is for weapons manufacture. I will also look into this. It could have a significant effect on our arguments.

Of course i would believe the president of a country that has done nothing to anyone. Of course I would believe the Head of the Atomic Agency, as we all should have before the invasion of IRAQ.
Of course I would not believe the US and the UK, as they both have the reputation of lying and should be up for War Crimes for what they have done.
We have all been misled before, and they are using the same lies and hype as previously to justify WAR.
You are right that it is the same old hype, and it looks like the USA is trying to repeat the events like those in the run up to the invasion of Iraq.
It only goes to prove that the USA still is acting like an adolescent, and still not learning by its mistakes.
It is impossible for us to tell if there is a groundswell of opinion in the USA as there is in Britain that the War in Iraq was not justified and has created more problems than it has solved.
Maye the USA still feels it is invulnerable, despite the twin towers.
Reports of what is going on in any country do come out via visitors, as well as Official observers for the media and through diplomatic channels. Often these give a truer picture than what the politicians put out through official statement in state controlled media. That is why I do not alone beieve everything I hear from a single source.
